Local SEO

Be the business your city calls first

Someone within five kilometres of your shop is searching for what you sell, right now, on a phone. Three businesses appear in the map pack above every other result. Local SEO is the work of being one of them — and of making sure the customer who taps through actually calls.

Local search is a different competition

National SEO is a fight against every site on the internet. Local search is a fight against the twenty businesses in your area that do the same thing you do — and Google decides it on three factors nobody outside the industry talks about: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is how well your profile matches the search. Distance is where the searcher is standing. Prominence is how well known and well reviewed you are.

You cannot change distance. You can change the other two completely, and most local businesses in Pakistan have not touched either. Their Google Business Profile was created once, never filled in, has four reviews and no photos since 2022. That is the whole opportunity: the bar in most cities is on the floor, and clearing it takes weeks rather than years.

The short version

Fill the Google Business Profile properly, get consistent listings everywhere your name appears, build a steady flow of real reviews, publish a page for every service in every area you serve, and answer the phone. Most competitors will not do all five.

What the work covers

Six areas, run in this order because each one makes the next work better.

The Google Business Profile, properly

This single listing decides most of your local visibility, and it has more fields than almost anyone fills in. Here is the checklist we work through.

Reviews are the ranking factor you control

Rating, count, recency and keywords inside the review text all feed the map pack. A business with sixty reviews averaging 4.6, with new ones arriving every week, beats one with twelve reviews from three years ago even if the twelve are all five stars. Freshness matters as much as the average.

We build a system rather than a campaign: a short link and QR code your staff hand out at the point of sale, a WhatsApp follow-up message timed to when the customer is happiest, a reply written for every review including the bad ones, and a monthly count you can watch move. Never bought, never faked — Google detects review fraud and the penalty removes every review you have, real ones included.

What we set up

Short review link and printed QR code, a request message your team can send in one tap, timing guidance for when to ask, and a reply template set so responses go out within a day.

Handling bad reviews

A calm public reply and a private fix. A visible one-star with a good response reads better to buyers than a suspiciously perfect five-star average, and Google will only remove reviews that break its policies.

Citations and NAP consistency

NAP means name, address and phone number. Every place those three appear online is a citation, and Google cross-references them to decide whether your business is really where you say it is. One old listing with a previous phone number quietly weakens everything else.

Service and area pages

The map pack is only half of local search. Below it sit the ordinary blue links, and those are won with pages on your own site. One page per service, and where the business genuinely serves multiple areas, one page per service per area — each with real content about that area, not the same paragraph with the town name swapped.

Doorway pages, meaning fifty near-identical pages for fifty towns you have never visited, are against Google's guidelines and get filtered out. We build pages for areas you actually serve, and we say no when the list gets unrealistic.

What we report

Local SEO has one honest measure: did more people contact you. Everything else explains that number.

Honest timelines

Local SEO moves faster than national SEO because the competition is smaller. In a city like Hafizabad, where most competitors have neglected their profiles, results come sooner than they would in Lahore.

Who this is for

Worth doing

Clinics, salons, gyms, restaurants, repair shops, property dealers, tutors, marriage halls, car workshops, plumbers and electricians — any business where the customer is nearby and ready to act. If you have a physical address or a defined service area, this is the highest-return marketing you can do.

Not the right fit

Online-only stores shipping nationwide, SaaS products, and businesses with no physical presence or service area. Those need eCommerce or national SEO instead, and we will tell you that on the call rather than sell you the wrong service.
